| The faculty, as in all TASIS schools, is the principal means by which the school achieves its purpose and it is the prime reason for the school's reputation for academic excellence. Faculty members are selected not only for their talents and abilities as educators, but also for their dedication to young people. They are knowledgeable professionals, diverse in their experiences and backgrounds, but similar in their love of children. It is this love of children that permeates every activity and lesson in the classroom. Through the faculty's friendly example, skilled
experience, and enthusiastic involvement, TASIS students are taught to strive for accomplishment, to enjoy learning and to enjoy the qualities listed in the school's mission statement.
TASIS Dorado will attract the most competent and well-trained faculty members that can be recruited in Puerto Rico and abroad. Faculty members will identify and support the school's philosophy of education and will strongly respect the uniqueness of each child and his/her need to grow and learn within a supportive yet disciplined community. The administration will regularly evaluate the performance of faculty members and the achievement of academic and social goals of their students.
Over 50% of our faculty possess or are in the process of completing a Masters degree in education or their field of specialty from top universities such as UPR Mayaguez, Framingham College, Cambridge University, and the University of Minnesota. We have a mixture of novice and experienced teachers some with over 15 years of classroom experience.
