Dear TASIS Dorado Families and Friends,
We are pleased to extend the EARLY BIRD offer for the All-Star Gala Celebration to benefit the TASIS Dorado Wellness & Athletics Center--half off the ticket price: $500 per person! This All-Star Gala promises to be a spectacular evening and an exciting kick-off for the WAC Campaign. There will be cocktails with whiskey and vodka, dining and fine wine, and a champagne cash bar, as well as great music provided by the Gilberto Santa Rosa Orchestra and La Super Banda. For those who want to learn to dance Salsa, free dance instruction will be provided at the Gala. 

There will also be live and silent auctions, as well as a raffle. Everyone with a ticket will automatically be included in the raffle. (Additional raffle tickets will be for sale at the Gala to increase your chances of winning.) To give you an idea, just some of the items include--

Live Auction: Fabulous stays in Casa de Campo, Coastal Maine, and Sundance (Utah); a Toro Verde zipline adventure package for 20; a deep-sea fishing trip for 6; a reserved parking spot at TASIS Dorado

A Message from the Gala Committee

Dear TASIS Dorado Family,

Since the completion of the PAC, we have dreamed of adding a state-of-the-art athletics center to our campus. We seek to provide for the artistic, athletic, physical and mental well-being of our community. The addition of a high-quality athletics and wellness center to our campus would bring our athletic facilities up to the same world-class standard as our faculty and instructional facilities. Furthermore, we would not miss the rainstorms that often flood our courts, the absence of locker rooms, and the lack of air conditioning!

For these reasons, we are thrilled to announce that TASIS Dorado will soon unveil the architectural drawings for an extraordinary Wellness & Athletics Center and commence an exciting, major capital campaign to fund its construction!

We are committed to providing our students and faculty with an optimal environment for success, recognizing that the ancient saying, mens sana in corpore sanum (sound mind in a sound body), is more true today than ever. We are currently finalizing the TASIS Dorado Wellness Program to add to the school’s curriculum. This program’s mission is to encourage and empower our community “to pursue happiness and a meaningful life while developing physical, emotional, and spiritual balance to face a dynamic and complex world with resilience, confidence, flexibility, empathy, and purpose.” Areas of focus include self-management, responsible decision-making, relationship skills, and social awareness.

The Wellness & Athletics Center (WAC) will house an air-conditioned arena for basketball, volleyball, and Physical Education classes; locker rooms; fitness facilities; multi-purpose rooms for dance, stretching and yoga; counseling offices; an infirmary; and a nutrition center, among other amenities.

Looking ahead, there will be many opportunities for everyone in our community to be involved in reaching the dream of the WAC, from PPK students to the Senior Class and their families!

To kick off the Capital Campaign, TASIS Dorado will unveil the complete WAC design for the first time at an All-Star Benefit Gala on Saturday, September 7, 2019 in the Performing Arts Center (PAC)! Guaranteed to be a memorable evening, the Gala will feature wine and champagne, a delicious dinner and live entertainment, featuring the Puerto Rican salsa legend Gilberto Santa Rosa and his Orchestra as well as La Super Banda.

During the Gala, attendees will be invited to participate in a silent and live auction and raffles. For the auctions to be a success, we are seeking your help. Please consider donating an item, experience, or service that stems from a personal passion, a business, or any other area of interest to the raffle and silent or live auctions. We are looking for works of art or craftsmanship, exclusive items, sports memorabilia, wellness-related items, memberships, and unique experiences or activities. Your donation can be as simple as a gift certificate to a business or restaurant, a membership to a health center, a package of yoga classes, or a weekend at a favorite resort.

Our marketing for the capital campaign will include the full TASIS Dorado community. Your name and/or business will be displayed at the event, on printed and electronic materials, and on the TASIS Dorado Wellness & Athletics Center Campaign website.

  • Make a monetary donation to the capital campaign
