Sara Hernández Marchany brings nearly 20 years of experience in education and over a decade of dedicated service to TASIS Dorado, where she now serves as Interim Head of School. Her career reflects a broad range of leadership roles, including Registrar/Student Information Manager, Middle School Principal, Director of Upper School, and most recently, Assistant Head of School. This progression has provided her with deep institutional knowledge, proven leadership, and a strong commitment to academic excellence. In her leadership roles, Sara has overseen key daily operations and strategic initiatives that strengthen teaching and learning across all divisions. She has played an integral role in enhancing the middle-to-upper school transition, cultivating teacher leadership, and promoting a collaborative school culture—an environment she believes is essential for meaningful student and educator growth. She is also known for her ability to use research and data analysis to guide instructional development and set priorities that advance the school’s mission. Sara holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in TESOL from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master of Education in Supervision and Leadership from NUC University. She also earned a Certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard Business School and a College Counseling Certificate from UCLA. A proud parent of two TASIS Dorado Bears from the Classes of 2032 and 2034, Sara combines her professional expertise with a personal dedication to the school community, making her exceptionally well-prepared to guide TASIS Dorado during this transitional period.
