Yasémilitt Hernández, M.Ed.

Yasémilitt Hernández has been a valued member of the TASIS Dorado community since 2018. Passionate about guiding students through the college application process, she aims to make it an opportunity for growth and self-discovery. Yasémilitt provides extensive resources and support to both students and parents, believing in the unique talents of each individual. Her contributions enrich the TASIS Dorado community as both a professional and a mother of a TASIS Dorado Bear from the Class of 2028.
With over 20 years of experience, Yasémilitt has served as a school and college counselor in various institutions. She began her career as an ESL assistant at A.J. Ferrel Middle Magnet School in Tampa, Florida, and later as a Spanish Title I teacher and counselor at Academia Espíritu Santo in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico. She also worked at Saint Francis School in Carolina, assisting athletic students with university admissions.
At TASIS Dorado, Yasémilitt transitioned from Upper School Counselor to College Counselor and now serves as the Associate Director of College Counseling. She coordinates SAT and ACT test centers and is the Services for Students with Disabilities Test Coordinator. Yasémilitt has achieved a 100% college placement rate over the past 11 years in the schools where she has worked.
Yasémilitt holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Universidad de Puerto Rico, Río Piedras, and a Master's Degree in Education, Guidance Counseling from Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico. She also has a Certificate in College Access Counseling from Kinesis Foundation and is affiliated with NACAC, SACAC, and NCAA.
Anaís Córdova-Díaz, M.A.Ed., LPC

Anaís Córdova Díaz is a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in both Puerto Rico and Texas. She graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She pursued her graduate studies at Bayamón Central University in Puerto Rico, where she earned a Master of Arts in Education with a major in Counseling. In July 2023, she completed a Certificate in College Access Counseling from Rice University. She is also a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), the Southern Association for College Admission Counseling (SACAC), the American School Counseling Association (ASCA), and the American Counseling Association (ACA).
Anaís' professional career began in 2010 as a Retention Coordinator for first-year students at Ana G. Méndez University in Puerto Rico. After two years, she transitioned to the role of Licensed Professional Counselor for graduate students at the same institution.
In 2015, she worked as a school counselor for middle and high school students at Colegio San José. Her focus during this time included life and career planning, academic readiness, and college awareness. Additionally, she taught AP Psychology to 12th graders. Through individual group interventions, she supported, educated, and guided students in their social-emotional development, goal-setting efforts and the college planning process.
In 2021, Anaís became a high school counselor and college counselor at Colegio Marista in Guaynabo, where she expanded her role by developing and teaching a college and career readiness course to sophomores and juniors. Additionally, she served as the testing coordinator for AP Exams and Pruebas Nivel Avanzado.
She joined The TASIS School in Dorado in 2022 as an Associate Director of College Counseling. Her commitment to educating, guiding, and supporting students in achieving their future goals continues to be a source of fulfillment, and she looks forward to furthering her work in this field. Her primary goal is to guide and advocate for students as they pursue their academic and career objectives.
