Tuition & Fees

TASIS Dorado’s tuition covers many costs that are add-ons at other schools.

Total tuition cost includes the following:

• Textbooks & Supplies (workbooks and supplemental reading for grades 6 - 12 not included)
• Classroom Materials

Scholarship Program

As an institution, TASIS Dorado remains a foundation for students to transform their energies and talents into making a positive difference in the world. Our community understands the importance of education with the mission of TASIS Dorado focused on educating the next generation of engaged global citizens and innovative, selfless leaders.

Our Scholarship Program provides grants covering annual tuition and school fees for qualifying students entering grades 6–8 from Puerto Rico’s public school system who demonstrate financial need, strong academic achievement, and leadership potential.

Through the support of our generous donors and corporate sponsors, select students with limited resources who present a high-achieving and outstanding academic background receive access to an exceptional education in our Upper School program.

Tuition Assistance Program
Your family is important to us. The TASIS Dorado Financial Aid program is designed to make a TASIS Dorado education possible for all families based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funds. We provide a personalized approach to tuition setting using a Sliding Scale model. Tuition assistance is calculated based on a family's income, assets, expenses, and debts, and is determined through the Clarity Financial Aid online application platform. The application is mobile-friendly and fully translated into Spanish.

How to Apply for Tuition Assistance

Step 1: Create an Account & Add TASIS Dorado

• Go to https://app.clarityapp.com/sign-up to set up your account.
• Begin your application and add TASIS Dorado to your student applicant entry. You may save your application and log out at any time to return later.

Step 2: Enhanced Tax Verification (ETV) Process

• US Taxpayers: Complete the Clarity Enhanced Tax Verification (ETV) process to release your W-2 and personal tax return transcripts from the IRS. You will be asked to authorize transcript sharing and verify your identity as a security measure required by the IRS. You may choose between "Clarity" and "IRS" verification options.
• Returning Clarity Applicants: Parents/guardians who successfully completed the ETV process last year will not need to complete it again. Upon submission, the IRS will automatically release your transcripts based on your prior authorization.
• Tax Filers in Puerto Rico or Federal/Separate Filers: Ensure current tax filings for both parents are provided. If parents file separately, tax filings for both parents are required.

Step 3: Enter Financial Information & Submit Application

• Enter your financial details, review your completed application, and pay the $65 Clarity application fee.
• Submit your application and return to your Clarity dashboard.

Step 4: Upload Supporting Documentation

• Upload any additional supporting documents requested by the school directly to your Clarity dashboard by the specified deadline (e.g., W-2s, 480 forms, tax documents).
• International Families: You will be prompted to upload income verification in the form of a paystub or employment letter stating salary, alongside tax documents from your country of residence (with English translation).
• Note: You may be prompted via Clarity by the school to upload additional documentation if needed at a later date. Financial aid must be requested annually; all steps must be completed each school year.

Step 5: Evaluation by the Financial Aid Committee

• The completed Clarity application and submitted documents are evaluated by the TASIS Dorado Financial Aid Committee.
• Once a decision is made, parents are notified through a formal letter written by the Director of Finance and signed by the Head of School.
• These letters will be sent once the re-enrollment contracts have been provided.

Expectations & Additional Responsibilities
Confidentiality is key throughout this process. A student receiving financial aid is expected to maintain high standards of citizenship and scholarship while abiding by TASIS Dorado’s Student Code of Conduct. Financial aid may be rescinded by the Financial Aid Committee should the student jeopardize the standards, ideals, and objectives of TASIS Dorado.

Recipients are responsible for additional costs, including but not limited to:

• Uniforms
• Lunch
• Paperback books for courses and summer reading
• Class fund dues and fundraising activities
• Transportation
• Educational travel and summer programs
