Enrique Rivera Ferraiuoli '21 to represent Puerto Rico at International Mathematical Olympiad in United Kingdom
TASIS Dorado is incredibly proud to announce that 10th-grader Enrique Rivera Ferraiuoli will represent Puerto Rico in the 60th International Mathematical Olympiad to be held in the United Kingdom this summer (IMO2019), the largest and most prestigious of all of the international olympiads. Enrique will be the only delegate in the Puerto Rico team and will be accompanied by two delegate professors, Team Leader Dr. Luis Cáceres and Deputy Leader Dr. Omar Colón from UPR Mayagüez.
The competition involves teams of up to six contestants sitting two exams on consecutive days. Each exam lasts 4.5 hours and contains three difficult problems. This unique event brings together the brightest young minds from over 100 countries and represents, for them, the culmination of many years of mathematical endeavor and hundreds of attempts at solving problems.
