Summer Reading & Math

Studies have shown that many students lose ground academically over the long summer vacation if they do not engage in any academic activity. We strive to foster a love of reading in all of our students, and we encourage each child to read (or have read to him or her) 1,000 pages over the summer. Students are also assigned online math activities to help them maintain their skills. Students who meet the established goals are recognized in a Reading & Math Wizard ceremony at the beginning of the school year.
