TASIS Dorado Summer Programs
2018 DATES: JUNE 4 - 29
The TASIS Dorado Summer Programs will provide your child with a summer to remember by offering high-quality activities in English that are both fun and intellectually stimulating. All of our programs make full use of TASIS Dorado facilities and surrounding areas and are staffed by experienced teachers and staff from our school.
This year, we are delighted to present our unique summer programs
The TASIS Dorado BEAR TREK and BEAR TREK JR Summer Programs provide children with a winning combination of academics and pure fun. These programs are for students from PPK to Kinder and 1st to 5th grade who wish to strengthen their English language skills in a safe and relaxed environment. Throughout each week, students participate in a varied program of age-appropriate recreational and artistic activities, with an emphasis on activities that promote personal development and teamwork. The TASIS Dorado campus is ideal for children to explore our beautiful surroundings, while feeling safe and secure with their friends and counselors. Weekly field trips are included in the program. Students may enroll for 1-4 weeks, with discounts available for siblings.
Our MARINE BIOLOGY program is a one-week program for students currently in grades 3-5 and 6-9. The program is focused on exploring the organisms of our coastal ecosystems. Students will complete fish counts of the reef, seagrass surveys, and study the biodiversity of our coastal reefs. Students will snorkel and swim, as well as work in the Marine Biology Program Laboratory at the University of Puerto Rico, Humacao Campus.
Although our school escaped the worst of Hurricane Maria, we are respectful of the restoration work that is ongoing throughout Puerto Rico. Our summer program at TASIS Dorado will be taking a break in 2018, and we look forward to welcoming students from around the world to our beautiful campus in the summer of 2019.
For the ambitious and adventurous student ages 12 - 18, TASIS Dorado offers a three-week program which will immerse your student in one of two tracks: Spanish Language study or Marine Life and Environmental Studies. The program makes full use of the TASIS Dorado campus in the exclusive private community of Dorado Beach and the nearby Dorado Beach Club, home to Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment organization, which in partnership with TASIS.
