Educational Travel

TASIS Dorado offers numerous opportunities for educational travel, which enhances classroom learning through outdoor activities, field trips throughout Puerto Rico, exploration trips beyond of Puerto Rico, and summer travel experiences. 

Field Trips & Exploration Trips

Students across all school levels enjoy day trips throughout Puerto Rico complimenting lessons taught in the classroom. 

Students in Grades 11 to 12 also enjoy overnight field trips to key locations throughout Puerto Rico as class bonding and team building opportunities.  

More extensive exploration trips are available to Upper School students in Grades 9 to 12. Past experiences have included an arts and drama in New York City, a literature tour through Ireland and England, science experiences in Spain and Portugal, and ecological studies in Costa Rica. Specific locations and themes vary from year to year.

Space Camp & Close-Up Trips

Students in Grade 6 enjoy a week of scientific exploration at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The following year, students in Grade 7 are given the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. and New York City through our Close-Up experience for a week of touring historical landmarks.

Model United Nations

TD Model United Nations (MUN) competes in a highly competitive local Model UN league, and in the second semester a select delegation competes in the ILMUNC conference at UPENN or in the NAIMUN conference at Georgetown University.

TASIS Summer Programs

TASIS Summer programs offer a wealth of travel opportunities both in Puerto Rico and in Switzerland, England, and France, including Marine Biology Camp, Les Tapies Art Program, and more.
