The TASIS Dorado Bear Trek Jr. and Bear Trek Programs, in partnership with Invention Playground® and Camp Invention®, are a dynamic combination of hands-on exploration and pure fun. Designed for students from PPK to Kinder and 1st to 5th grade who wish to explore, build, and innovate while strengthening their language skills in a safe and relaxed environment. Through teamwork and engaging problem-solving tasks, students participate in a varied program of age-appropriate, hands-on, creative activities. Mornings are English-immersion and afternoons are Spanish-immersion.

The TASIS Dorado campus is ideal for children to explore our beautiful surroundings while feeling safe and secure with their friends and teachers. Students may enroll for 1-4 weeks, with discounts available for siblings.

Grades PPK to Kinder

Invention Playground® is a preschool program that fosters the inventive spirit in every young child. Channeling natural curiosity with fun, innovative curricula, this program gives preschool-aged children a strong foundation for lifelong STEM learning.

Imaginative Play: Our program keeps preschoolers engaged and entertained.

Immersive Curricula: We guide the youngest minds to investigate STEM concepts.

Pod Pals Cruise the Galaxy™

Intergalactic exploration and fuzzy, funny creatures called Pod Pals challenge children to explore concepts like gravity and learn how to build super tall, super strong towers.

Week 2: June 10-14

Shake, Rattle and Roll™

This module introduces the science of sound through vibrations and sound waves. Children learn they can invent through play as they engage in fun games with specialized sound locators — their ears!

  • Use megaphones, instruments and sound catchers
  • Fine tune listening and memory skills

Week 3: June 17-21

ZOOM: Where Innovation Begins™

This unit begins with children exploring the depths of the ocean. Then, the students “zoom out” to discover what it’s like to be a chemist, a veterinarian, an architect and a rocket scientist.

  • Explore STEM careers
  • Turn curiosity into innovative thinking

Week 4: June 24-28

Mystery Present™

In this unit, children will receive five exciting clues to help them unlock the secret of the Mystery Present through buoyancy, circuitry and even the science of bubbles.

  • Receive postcard clues from New York, China and South America
  • Build, tinker and discover in efforts to solve a mystery

Camp Invention® 1st-5th

Grades 1st to 5th

Camp Invention® is a nationally acclaimed summer program where STEM concepts come to life. Led by local teachers, this program has tapped into kids' natural curiosity since 1990, giving them the opportunity to become innovators through teamwork and immersive, hands-on creative problem-solving.

Fun for the Summer: Our camp is designed to keep kids engaged.

Skills for the Future: We give our campers a strong STEM foundation.

    Innovation Force®

    Children team up with the Innovation Force, a group of NIHF Inductees who have been transformed into superheroes, to battle the evil Plagiarizer, a supervillain who is out to steal the world’s ideas. As children create a device to retrieve the stolen ideas, they learn about the importance of collaboration and patents.



    Week 2: June 10-14

    Deep Sea Mystery™

    Children embark on a research adventure at sea, but soon find themselves stranded on an island. Using lessons and advice from NIHF Inductees, children work in teams to invent island-survival tools and underwater equipment and navigate their way back home.



    Week 3: June 17-21

    Farm Tech™

    Children manage their own farm as they learn the basics of running a business. With the assistance of Bot-ANN-E, a programmable robot, campers learn fundamental coding techniques to maximize their time and profits and perform mock DNA experiments to check the health of their cattle



    Week 4: June 24-28:

    DIY Orbot™ Week

    Children explore frequency, circuit boards, motors and gears as they use real tools to reverse engineer a remote-controlled DIY Orbot. Throughout the week, campers will adapt their DIY Orbot to perform increasingly challenging tasks from sports to art.
