Six TASIS Dorado Seniors Named 2020 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program Candidates

It's a good day to be a Bear! TASIS Dorado is proud to announce that six members of the Class of 2020 have been selected as candidates for the prestigious U.S. Presidential Scholars Program.

Congratulations to Alejandro Araque, Enrique Carrasco, Sophia Duchateau, Fabián García-Nolla, Zoe García, and Eva Soler-Cruz. Each year, about 5,000 graduating seniors nationwide are chosen based on their SAT and ACT scores. As many as 161 graduating seniors are then named Presidential Scholars. Students must be invited to apply for the program.

The U.S. Presidential Scholars will be announced in early May, and winners will be honored in Washington, D.C. The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program was established in 1964, by executive order of the President, to recognize and honor some of our nation's most distinguished graduating high school seniors.

Congratulations, Scholars, on this special recognition!
