Seven TASIS Dorado Students Win National Junior Honor Society Outstanding Achievement Award

TASIS Dorado would like to recognize seven exemplary students selected as recipients of the 2020 National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) Outstanding Achievement Awards. The award honors 500 exceptional NJHS students nationwide with a certificate of recognition, a medallion, and a $500 award, which will be placed in a college savings account.

We are proud to congratulate these seven members from the class of 2023:

  • Adrián de Jesús
  • Laura Espinosa
  • Karla Junco
  • Tomás Navedo
  • Natalia Pérez
  • Nadine Rodríguez
  • Emma Trápaga

The Outstanding Achievement Award is given to NJHS members who have demonstrated excellence in the five pillars of NJHS: scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.

"Our NJHS Strivers Chapter is committed to serving the community. Throughout the year, members think of, design, plan, and work hard on projects that make a difference. They also maintain the highest standards of academics and school ethics. The winning members went above and beyond the call. In fact, most of them continue to be actively involved in several projects. I congratulate them for their dedication, perseverance, and commitment." Ms. Melissa Arroyo said proudly. Ms. Arroyo, is the NJHS Strivers Chapter Adviser, a former selected member of the NASSP Student Leadership Advisory Committee, and TASIS Dorado English department teacher and coordinator.

We commend Adrián, Laura, Karla, Tomás, Natalia, Nadine, and Emma on this remarkable achievement! #TDGlobalLeaders #NJHS #TDBearPride
