Activities, Athletics & the Arts
TASIS Dorado offers a robust athletics program, as well as a wide variety of extracurricular educational and social activities, clubs, and societies. Students across all levels are deeply involved in athletics, the arts, and extracurriculars with endless opportunities to choose from.
Specific details of the various athletic, artistic, and extracurricular programs are communicated at the start of the academic year, semester, or season (as appropriate), including days, times, associated cost (if any), and other logistical information.

All School
Elementary (PPK-5th grade)
Activities Beyond the Classroom (ABC) Program: Typically offered on Fridays from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m., the ABC program consists of age-appropriate educational and fun activities created by our teachers with the goal of engaging students through a hands-on experience. Past offerings include Kinder Cooking, Create a Lemonade Stand, Doodle Art, Sign Language, Fun with Science, Robotics, Lego Engineering, Graphic Design, Let’s Make Playdough, and more! Creative After School Workshops: Offered once a week Monday through Thursday from approximately 3:45 - 5:00 p.m., Creative Workshops are taught by both TASIS faculty and outside professionals. The focus of the program is rooted in visual and performing arts, with past offerings such as Ceramics, Hip Hop, Little Broadway, Sewing, Lil’ Yogi Artist, Make-Up and Fashion Design, Art Journaling, Comic Book Animation, Cartooning and Drawing, and more! Secondary (6th - 12th grade)
Upper School students can choose from a broad range of extracurricular activities, including Student Council, Art Club, Band, Batucada, Community Service Club, Drama Club, Environmental Club, Interact Club, Model United Nations, Glee Club, Girls Can Code, Choir, Robotics, Musical Theater, English and Spanish Forensics, Marine Biology Club, Chess Club, and more.
Upper School students may also receive membership invitations to various academic societies, including National and National Junior Honor Societies, National Art Honor Society, International Thespian Society, and French and Italian Honor Society.

Athletics
TASIS Dorado’s Athletic Department stresses individual character development with an emphasis on respect, responsibility, integrity, leadership, and sportsmanship. Our educators and coaches work tirelessly to offer a high-quality athletic experience where student-athletes are respected for their individuality, valued for their unique talents, and challenged to improve their abilities. Our student-athletes are taught to strive for excellence, on and off the field, both as individuals and teammates.
Students are encouraged to participate in a variety of athletic opportunities including basketball, cross country, fencing, flag football, golf, judo, soccer, swimming, tennis, track and field, and volleyball. Upper Elementary and Upper School student-athletes participate in 11 sports across 54 teams, while our youngest bears engage in athletics through our after school sports clinics across four programs, including basketball, fencing, judo, and volleyball.

The Arts
Visual and performing arts are a vital part of the TASIS Dorado experience. Outside of daily classroom exposure to art, drama, and music, students across all school levels come together to partake in various forms of the arts, including the spring musical, performance assemblies, such as a cappella, band and choir concerts, TASIS Creates, Novel Voices, and Thespian Showcases.
