STEAM Fab Lab Project: 3D Printed Face Shields
In support of the worldwide effort to provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, TASIS Dorado’s STEAM Fab Lab partnered with the University of Puerto Rico School of Architecture's Fab Lab to produce face shields using 3D printers and clear plastic sheets. As a community, TASIS Dorado raised over $5,200 and produced more than 3,000 face shields for healthcare professionals, vulnerable patients, and other affected frontline workers.
